Paolo Siani was born on
September 7, 1973 in Naples, Italy. He started to sing
in the Church chorus at the age of eight where he discovered
his passion for music and quickly learned to play the
guitar and then the keyboard. At nine years old he put
together his first band called “New Boys”. After only
a couple of years Paolo started to play for private
parties and in piano bars/clubs around Naples (of course
accompanied by his father Antonio). He made his first
appearance on a local TV show at the age of 14 and around
the same time decided to take classical piano lessons
discovering his love for the classical masters of music,
Beethoven, Bach and Mozart were is favorites. As his
interest, talent and popularity grew, Paolo played with
various local bands, with famous Neapolitan singers
and as a classical piano player. For two years, Paolo
played with Canale 21 Orchestra on a regional Television
station. Soon after he started touring throughout other
cities in Italy and in Europe.
In August 1998 Paolo
came to the United States for the first time to visit
a friend, another singer, in the town of New Rochelle,
New York. His friend afforded him the opportunity to
play a few songs during his performances and Paolo really
appreciated the reaction and appreciation from the audiences.
They encouraged him to play and sing more and more.
Paolo met and made a lot of friends who encouraged him
to pursue his music here and offered him places to stay.
Paolo got caught up with the idea of the “American Dream”
and decided to come back to America to pursue new avenues
for his career. In only a couple of years he has been
able to build up his name in the Italian-American community
and create his new band, “Futura”. Today Futura is one
of the finest bands in the Tri-State area performing
for all kinds of events in all different venues. In
such a short time, he has had the extreme honor of performing
in the presence of President Bill Clinton, Senator Hillary
Clinton and Governor Mario Cuomo. He's also performed
for Julia Roberts, Farrah Fawcett and NBA star, David
Robinson.
